Harlow Town 4 Ware 0
26 December 2011
AFTER staying in the game for the first half hour, Ware conceded a penalty and from there the floodgates opened in their Boxing Day derby against Harlow.
The home side scored a second goal within minutes of successfully converting the spot kick, and followed that up with two goals shortly after the restart.
Due to the unavailability of a handful of players, Ware boss Stuart Nethercott was forced to shuffle his pack again.
Barnet youngster Callum Adebiyi returned at centre-half in place of the unavailable Wesley Beckles, while Kain Roomes was given his first start in attack in place of Ricci Crace.
Shannan Taylor was restored to a central midfield role, and with impressive right-sided player Liam Foster moving forward into a right wing role, Michael Elliott came back into the starting line-up on the right side of the back four.
The opening exchanges were fairly even, with Ware carving out a handful of chances.
Dan Johnson put Roomes through one-on-one with Hawks keeper Bert Bossu but the striker just missed the target.
Foster tried his luck for distance but to no avail, while Vince Rispoli sent a dangerous free kick into the box but nobody got on the end of it and Harlow cleared their lines.

The home side took the lead on 30 minutes after Adebiyi was harshly adjudged to have committed a foul just inside the box.
Piers Wixon successfully converted the penalty, and within four minutes Harlow had a 2-0 lead after James Peagram headed home following a free kick from the right-hand side.
Ware made it to the half-time interval without conceding further, but they were dealt another blow when Getro Kilapi headed in at the back post following a cross into the box on 52 minutes.

Harlow completed the scoring on the hour mark when Peagram capitalised on a mix-up at the back and slotted past goalkeeper Rhys Madden.
Ware introduced Junior Adeoye and Tom Querry from the bench to try and claw their way back into the game, but Harlow held firm to claim a comfortable victory.
