Glen Parry & Michael Akande arrive

WARE have secured the services of former Cheshunt defender Glen Parry, along with utility player Michael Akande.

Veteran Parry recently left Cheshunt, a club he had represented for a number of years, having had a brief spell in caretaker charge of the Ambers towards the end of 2011.

Primarily a left-back, Parry is sure to be a valuable addition to Stuart Nethercott's squad, and his paperwork was submitted to the Ryman League prior to Saturday's postponed fixture against Great Wakering Rovers.

Also arriving at the club is defender/midfielder Michael Akande.

The impressive youngster, who has played for a host of Ryman League clubs including Tilbury and Leatherhead, signed forms this week after impressing boss Nethercott.

His most recent club was East Thurrock United.

Both players are eligible to be selected for Saturday's tough trip to Brentwood Town.
