Rearranged games round-up

WARE are hoping to get back into action on Saturday (February 18) after a three-week hiatus following the postponement of a number of recent games.

Last time out, Ware secured a 1-0 win at home to Romford on Saturday 28 February, but since then the wintry weather conditions have forced the postponement of home games against Great Wakering Rovers and Heybridge Swifts, as well as a trip to AFC Sudbury.

Of course, the snow and ice that has gripped the UK has also hindered the club's training regime. The squad trained in an indoor sports hall at a leisure facility in Sawbridgeworth on Thursday and Saturday, but will be looking to get back to some outside work ahead of their vital clash with Soham Town Rangers at the weekend.

New dates for all the recent postponed games have now been agreed.

We will try once again to host Great Wakering Rovers on Tuesday 21 February, with kick-off at 7.45pm. The ill-fated fixture has already been postponed three times; the first attempt on Saturday 14 January was frozen off, as was the initially re-arranged game on Tuesday 24 January. Heavy snowfall put paid to the third attempt on Tuesday 7 February, so both teams will be hoping it's fourth time lucky this time.

The following Tuesday (February 28) sees us travel to AFC Sudbury following the postponement of the initial game on Saturday 4 February. The game kicks-off at 7.45pm.

Finally, the home match against Heybridge Swifts that was postponed on Saturday 11 February will now be played on Tuesday 13 March, with kick-off at 7.45pm.
