Squad bolstered before tough trips

WITH a run of tough away games coming up, the Ware squad has been further strengthened this week.

Defender Mark Teasdale has been signed from Spartan South Midlands League neighbours Broxbourne Borough, and made his debut from the substitutes' bench in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Soham Town Rangers.

Teasdale turned out for Ware in pre-season before opting to join Broxbourne, where he made 14 appearances since the start of the competitive campaign.

Meanwhile, the club is in the process of re-signing Jamie Petts.

The tough-tackling midfielder played for the club last season. He suffered a serious leg injury in a pre-season friendly against Southend United in July 2010 which kept him out for a number of months, but he made a brief return to the field for Ware towards the end of last season.
